Provides technical support to Operations as needed to meet customer requirements - Responsible for maintaining and improving process performance in machining, assembly, test and paint areas - Responsible for technical leadership when working on safety, quality and manufacturing cost improvement - Uses data for decision making and applies Six Sigma problem solving tools as appropriate - Participates on project teams working on developing new or improved processes - Develops project plans, estimates project budgets, controls spending to budgets, prepares progress reports and presentations for reviews - Develops manufacturing concepts, design processes, selects capital equipment, designs workplace or cell layouts, develops quality and safety plans for new processes - Maintains positive employee relationships within and between departments - Will be required to make decisions under stressful situations - Must be team-oriented with good interpersonal skills - Must be willing and able to work during production working hours - Manages multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment - Other duties as assigned - Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline or related technical field required. - Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing engineering environment. - Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification preferred - Working knowledge of and experience applying Demand Flow and Lean Manufacturing techniques - Understanding of applicable machining, assembly and test processes.
